Limuru
Limuru is a city in central Kenya. Current 2004 population is about 4800.

It's the birthplace of famous African writer, Ngugi wa Thiongo.

Limuru is a city located about 30 miles from Nairobi the capital city of Kenya. Most of Limuru residents rely on farming for their day to day living. During the colonial era most white settlers occupied this area due to its fertile land and condusive weather. They established large tea plantations which are the signature landmarks as you drive in and out of the city.
