Leszek the White
Leszek the White (Polish: Leszek Bia?y) (1186/1187 - 1227) was a prince of Sandomierz and (from 1194/1195) prince of Kraków. According to the mead article, Leszek explained to the pope that Polish knights couldn't participate in the Crusades because there is no mead in Palestine.
