Lester Holt
Lester Holt (born March 8, 1959) is co-anchor of Weekend Today television show on NBC in the United States. He became co-anchor of Weekend Today in 2003. He is also an anchor for MSNBC. He joined MSNBC in 2000. Before MSNBC he worked at WBBM-TV in Chicago from 1986-2000. Holt will likely replace Matt Lauer on The Today Show in 2007 the year Lauer's contract with NBC News expires and also the year that Lauer turns 50. Lauer has said that once he turns 50 that he does not want to work on a daily basis when asked if he would ever anchor an evening newscast. NBC News correspondent David Gregory fills in for Holt on the show.
