Leslie Carter

Leslie Barbara Carter (born June 6, 1986, in Tampa, Florida, USA) is the sister of Aaron Carter and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. She signed a record deal with Dreamworks Records and began recording her debut album. This album was set for release in 2000, but it kept getting delayed because Dreamworks wanted to test Leslie's fan base before releasing the album in order to ensure its success. Her single, "Like Wow!" appeared on the the Shrek soundtrack and received minor radio airplay. With this added exposure and popularity, Dreamworks announced the future release of the album, but later dropped Carter and cancelled the album entirely, allegedly due to beliefs that Carter could not compete on a top-tier level with performers such as Britney Spears and Mandy Moore. Her debut album was never released.
