Les McCann (born September 23, 1935, Lexington, Kentucky) is a jazzman who saw a great of success as a crossover artist. In 1969 McCann released Swiss Movement on Atlantic Records that contained "Compared To What". Both the album and the single were huge Billboard pop chart successes. A stroke in the mid 90's sidelined McCann for a while, but in 2002 he released a new album, Pump it Up.
