~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ He was born Gerard Hugh Sayer at Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, England. He has had huge success with his single and album releases in the UK and US. His initial style of wearing a pierrot style outfit and make-up was dropped in the 1970s and his now distictive curly hair is widely recognisable. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ His famous hits include, "Long Tall Glasses", "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing", the romantic ballad "When I Need You" and the remake of Bobby Vee's "More Than I Can Say" and Buddy Holly's "Raining In My Heart." ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Most recently in 2000, "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" was featured in the hit movie Charlie's Angels and was on the accompanying soundtrack album. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sayer is still performing at 57 years of age. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
