Lee Adams
Lee Adams (born August 14, 1924 in Mansfield, Ohio) is an American lyricist best known for his collaboration with Charles Strouse in the musical theatre. Adams won Tony Awards in 1961 for "Bye Bye Birdie" and in 1970 for "Applause." In addition, Adams is an inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Adams received a B.A. from Ohio State University and a M.A. from Columbia University.
