Lazarus

One is the Lazarus of Jesus' parable which appears solely in Luke (16.19–31). The other is the Lazarus of the miracle recounted in John (11.41–44). The name, with its connotation of one miraculously raised from the dead, as with Lazarus taxon organisms that reappear after being considered extinct, has also appeared in modern-day literature and science fiction. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
