~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ It was founded in 1978 by former Formula One driver Niki Lauda. In 1989 Lauda started their first long-haul flights from Vienna to Sydney and Melbourne, each via Bangkok. In the 90s they started to fly their 4 (SYD), respective 3 (MEL) weekly flights via Kuala Lumpur. Daily flights to Miami via Munich, to Dubai and to Cuba were following.
