Laredo is the county seat of Webb County, Texas, United States, on the north bank of the Rio Grande (Río Bravo), across from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 176,576. A July 1, 2003 Census estimate raised this number to 197,488.
