Laodicea
Laodicea was the name for at least six Hellenistic cities, which were named for one of the several queens named Laodice in the Seleucid dynasty. The Greeks distinguished such cities by nicknames usually based on geography.

- Laodicea in Syria, sometimes Laodicea on the Sea, Latin Laodicea ad Mare, which was the port of Antioch: modern Latakia
- Laodicea on the Lycus, in Phrygia, near modern Denizli, Turkey
- Laodicea in Media, now the tell of Nihavend, Iran
- Antiochus IV called Beirut Laodicea in Phoenicia. A surviving Aramaic coin translates this as Laodicea in Canaan.
