Recent developments buy so called "Low budget" airlines such as Ryanair and Flybe have meant that the Languedoc is now a lot more accessible to people travelling from the UK. With four airports within the Languedoc (Carcassonne, Montpellier, Nimes and Perpignan) you can now get up to three flights a day from the UK at very reasonable prices. Add to this the ever improving rail links from Northern France and the UK and all of a sudden the Languedoc is a lot closer than it used to be.
