Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Lancaster is a city located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 56,348. It is the county seat of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It is also home of the Lancaster Barnstormers, a minor league baseball team. The city and its county are known for its large population of Amish people.
Geography
Lancaster is located at 40°2'23" North, 76°18'16" West (40.039860, -76.304366){{GR|1}}.

The land is mostly flat, characteristic of the area. The city is located about 70 miles west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 34 miles southeast of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and 87 miles north of Washington D.C..
