Lamprey River
The Lamprey River is about 40 miles (64 kilometres) long in southeastern New Hampshire. It rises in Pawtuckaway Pond in Nottingham, flows south, then generally east past Raymond, Epping, Lee and finally Newmarket. Here, it meets Great Bay, a tidal inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, to which it is connected by a tidal estuary, the Piscataqua River.
