Lake Lewisville
Large recreational Lake located on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River in Denton County about 22 miles northwest of downtown Dallas and just north of the suburb of Lewisville. Interstate Highway 35E runs over the western part of the lake. Initially known as Garza-Little Elm and Lake Dallas, it is now known as Lake Lewisville. Impounded in 1954, surface area is 29,592 acres and maximum depth 67 feet.
