Lady on a Train

Lady on a Train is a black-and-white comedy shot in film noir style. The film, starring Deanna Durbin, was directed by Durbin's future third husband Charles David. The film's music score was by Miklós Rózsa. Durbin sings the standards "Silent Night" and "Night and Day." The comedy, musical and film noir seems to be a spoof on Cornell Woolrich mystery stories that were popular at the time. Future cowboy star Lash La Rue has a small part playing a waiter at the Circus Club.
