La Jolla Country Day School
The La Jolla Country Day School (known informally as "Country Day," "LJCDS" or "LJCD") is a highly selective private school in La Jolla, a suburb of San Diego, California. It was founded as the Balmer School by Louise C. Balmer in 1926. The school contains a lower school (consisting of preschool through fourth grade), a middle school (consisting of fifth grade through eighth grade), and an upper school (consisting of the rest of the grades, eleventh through twelfth).
