She was born on April 27, 1970 in London, England, and her family moved to Australia shortly afterward. Travis modelled for various agencies in Paris, London and New York before taking up acting. Her first major role was in the Aaron Spelling TV series Models Inc., and she starred in several major motion pictures as well, including Retroactive.
