Kwinana Freeway

The Kwinana Freeway is a 40 kilometre major arterial road in Perth, Western Australia linking Perth with the southern suburbs and the City of Rockingham. It has a speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour generally but this varies due to ongoing construction and roadworks. The Freeway like the Mitchell Freeway Has Being Allocated Route 2 and also is Part of the National Highway 1 between the Canning Highway and Leach Highway. The Freeway generally is Quad & Triple Carridgeway up until you reach South Street and the outer Southern Suburbs where it's Dual Carrdigeway with room for future extensions. It also acts as the boundaries for many of Perth's Southern Suburbs. Currently, the new Mandurah railway line link is being built in the freeway median, so most of the freeway has speed restrictions, lane closures or other restrictions due to roadworks which can be a hassle and can cause large traffic problems. There is also a bus & taxi lane located along parts of the freeway for direct links to bus stations. These will probably soon be superseded by the Mandurah railway line.
