Kurt Rosenwinkel
Kurt Rosenwinkel is a New York-based jazz guitarist who came to prominence in the 1990s. His playing features complex harmonies and structures and blazingly fast solos. He attended the Berklee School of Music and has played and recorded often with fellow-alumni such as Mark Turner and Brad Mehldau as well as many others. His latest album, Deep Song (2005), features Mehldau and Joshua Redman; his earlier albums include The Enemies of Energy, The Next Step and a more experimental Heartcore.
