Kronotsky Volcano (near the center of the photograph) is a volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. It stands 11 570 feet (3528 meters) above sea level and casts a cone-shaped shadow. It exhibits the classic radial drainage pattern, extending downward from its crater. Kronotsky is considered to be the one of the most scenic volcanos in Kamchatka.
