Krisztina Egerszegi (born August 16, 1974) is one of the greatest Hungarian Olympic champions of the modern era.

Between 1988 and 1996 she made the backstroke her own and won 5 gold medals (record), including one for individual medley 400m at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
