Kranji

Kranji is an area in Singapore, located about 22 kilometers (15 miles) north of the city centre and towns such as Raffles Place. It served as a military camp before the 1939 Japanese invasion, and now is the home of the Kranji War Cemetery and Kranji Memorial. There is also a reservoir in Kranji, known as Kranji Reservoir.

The Singapore Turf Club, the only horse-racing racecourse in Singapore, is located in Kranji, next to the Kranji MRT Station.
