Knowle Rohrer

Knowle Rohrer is a Supersoldier, or alien-human hybrid, who appeared in the final seasons of the popular TV series The X Files. He was created to take up the slack for the Cigarette Smoking Man, who had been written out at the end of Season 7.

Rohrer served alongside John Doggett in the Gulf War. The two were friends, but Doggett lost touch with Rohrer after the war ended, as Rohrer became increasingly involved in classified operations. The impication is that Rohrer began working for the Syndicate. Some time after the Syndicate was destroyed, Rohrer was transformed into a hybrid Supersoldier. When Doggett became assigned to the X-Files, he reestablished contact with Rohrer. It was not until Doggett saw Rohrer meet with Alex Krycek that he realized Rohrer was an enemy. Eventually, Mulder discovered that the Cigarette Smoking Man was still alive and, with Scully, Doggett, and Reyes in tow, went to the Southwest for a final confrontation with the nicotine addict. Rohrer followed, intending to kill them all (including the Cigarette Smoking Man, who had long since outlived his usefulness to the conspiracy). However Rohrer died from exposure to magnetite. It turned out that the Cigarette Smoking Man figured out that magnetite killed the Supersoldiers and consequently chose to hide in an area filled with it.
