Michele Lee was the only actor to appear in all 344 episodes of the series. As a matter of fact, she voluntarily took a pay cut in the last season so that she could be in every episode. Her character, Karen, was the only character to live on the cul-de-sac for the entire run of the show.

The "Knots" in the title comes from the expression "tying the knot" since the show was originally about marriage. The "Landing" comes from the fact that David Jacobs felt like the cul-de-sac looked like someplace to land.
