Knightdale, North Carolina

Knightdale is a town located in Wake County, North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 5,958. Founded in 1927, Knightdale was an agricultural town on the railroad. With the population boom experienced in the North Carolina Research Triangle area in the 1990s, Knightdale has in many ways become a suburb of Raleigh, North Carolina, abutting that city at the Neuse River.
