Kintetsu Buffaloes
The Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes (in Kanji, 大阪近鉄バファローズ) was a professional baseball team in Japan's Pacific League. The team was owned by the Kinki Nippon Railway and later sold to the owners of the Orix Blue Wave baseball team, the Orix Group in 2004. The Orix Group then announced that they will merged the Kintetsu Buffaloes and Orix Blue Wave into one team called the Orix Buffaloes before the start of the 2004-2005 Japanese Baseball season.
