Kinrooi
Kinrooi is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. On January 1st, 2005 Kinrooi had a total population of 11,997. The total area is 54.76 km² which gives a population density of 219.06 inhabitants per km². The five little villages are Molenbeersel, Kinrooi, Kessenich, Geistingen and Ophoven.

On the 18th of September 1971 the five little villages (Molenbeersel, Kinrooi, Kessenich, Geistingen and Ophoven) fused and became the municipality Kinrooi. Since then there have been 3 mayor's.

Kinrooi's main economic activities are agriculture, tourism and the reclamation of gravel, sand and loam.

The downside of the reclamation of gravel, sand and loam is that a lot of land surface get's lost.

Kinrooi attracts a lot of tourists because it has 7 reserves that harbor rare animal & plant species, it has a marina and because it has several old windmills.
