Kingsville, Texas
Kingsville is a city located in Kleberg County, Texas, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 25,575. It is the county seat of Kleberg County{{GR|6}}.

Kingsville was formed in 1904 as Mrs. Henrietta King donated land for the original town-site, which is now located within the heart of the world-famous King Ranch. She inherited the land from Capt. Richard King along with a $500,000 debt.

Mrs. King was extremely instrumental in helping develop the city into a center of agriculture, oil and banking in the South Texas region. She donated land for Catholic, Baptist, and Episcopal churches and for what is now Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

Kingsville's economy, like much of South Texas, is extremely dependent on agriculture, particularly cattle and citrus.
