King Saud University
King Saud University located in Riyadh is Saudi Arabia's oldest and premier university. It was founded in 1957 as Riyadh University and was renamed in honour of King Saud in 1982. It was created to meet Saudi Arabia's shortage of skilled workers. Today the school has over 24,000 students, including many women. It offers a wide array of programs.

The school was constructed in the 1980's by Blount International, Inc., a construction firm led by Winton M. "Red" Blount, after the firm was awarded the world's then largest fixed-price contract in history for the sum of approximately $2 billion.
