Harold Adrian Russell "Kim" Philby also H. A. R. Philby (January 1, 1912May 11, 1988) was a high ranking member of British intelligence who led a lifelong career as a spy for the Soviet Union.

  • The 2005 film A different Loyalty is alleged to be a truthful account of Philby's love affair, and marriage, to Eleanor Brewer, during his time in Beirut, and his eventual defection to the Soviet Union, in late January of 1963.
