Khorsabad
![]() Khorsabad (Khursabad), village in Iraq, 15 km northeast of Mosul, with well-preserved ruins of the large, rectangular Dur-Sharrukin. Khorsabad was the seat of the Assyrian capital in the time of Sargon II.
