Khalq

Khalq was a well educated communist group. It's leader was Nur Mohammed Taraki and then Hafizullah Amin. It was a patriotic group which was supported by USSR and was formed in 1965 PDPA was born . It did not support the Soviet invasion unlike the Parchami who brought Soviet forces with them, a new chapter in history of humanity 1980-2001, the end of the cold war and the start of major international terrorism.

Khalq came to power after the Saur revolution which ousted the Islamic government of Prime Minister Daoud Khan.
