Keyboard player
Keyboard player is a term used for a musician who plays multiple instruments that have piano-style keyboards. In the early 1960s musicians who played keyboards were generally classified as either pianists or organists (very few musicians played older keyboard instruments such as harpsichord or clavichord). Since the mid 1960s, a plethora of new musical instruments with keyboards have come into common usage, requiring a new term for a person who plays them. These keyboards include:
