Although the new animated series The Batman does not star Conroy (with Rino Romano instead assuming the role), this new series does not take place in the same 'universe' as all of the series in which Conroy has appeared, including Justice League Unlimited, which is still in production. While the existence of this new series does seem to indicated that Warner Bros. is attempting to restart the Batman animated universe, thereby ending the one started by Bruce Timm, Eric Radomski, and Paul Dini in 1992, it remains to be seen to what extent these two version of Batman will be able to coexist on television.
