Kenny Brown

Kenny Brown (born on the Air Force base in Selma, Alabama) is a blues guitarist from Mississippi. One of the few white musicians skilled in playing in traditional blues styles, Brown grew up in Nesbit, a town in DeSoto County, northern Mississippi about 25 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee, and learned to play blues from Joe Callicott, Johnny Woods, and Mississippi Fred McDowell.

In 1971 Brown began performing with R. L. Burnside, who claimed Brown as his "adopted son." Brown is best known for his slide guitar playing and records for the Fat Possum Records label.
