![]() Kay Francis, born Katharine Naomi Gibbs on January 13, 1899, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Katharine Edwina Gibbs, who would establish the Katharine Gibbs system of vocational schools, which exist and thrive to this very day, after her marriage ended and she had a child to raise.
