Kaunas
Kaunas (approximate English transcription , ; German: Kauen; Polish: Kowno, often anglicized as Kovno; Russian ??????, formerly ?????), is the second largest city in Lithuania.

- Two of the country's three funiculars are located in KaunasLithuanian funiculars.
- Kaunas has Pa?aislis abbey (impressive baroque architecture style building).
- Kaunas is famous for its historic downtown.
- Main pedestrian street of the city is named Laisv?s al?ja (Liberty avenue), which is probably the longest pedestrian street in Europe.
