Kathryn Frost


 

Major General Kathryn Frost (c.1950-) was the commander of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. She was the highest-ranking woman in the United States Army until her retirement in April 2005. She is also the wife of former congressman Martin Frost.

Shortly before assuming the post at the AAFES, Frost was diagnosed with breast cancer. She publicly stated that her military training gave her an advantage, and is in a state of remission.

She has 30 years of military service, and served in the AAFES in the capacity of deputy commanding general from 1996-1998.
