Karen
- Karen can refer to the Karen people of south-east Asia. There are around 4 million Karen in Burma, and 350,000 in Thailand, where they are by far the largest of the hill tribes.
- The name Karen is also a Danish or Norwegian diminutive of the Greek "καθαρός" ("katharos") meaning "pure". Variants include Karin, Karyn, Caryn, Katherine, Kaaren and Katrine.
