Kara Saun
Kara Saun (born 1967) is a fashion designer who participated in the Bravo! television reality show, Project Runway.

Saun dreamed about becoming a designer since she was a small girl. In 1988, she graduated from Rutgers University, after which she became involved with the Air Force. Saun says that she has no city in particular because of her travel with the Air Force. In 1994, however, she did move to New York City, in search of better opportunities in the fashion designing world.

Saun, who lists Sex and the City and Law & Order as her favorite television shows, later on moved to Hollywood, California. There, she gained contact with many celebrities, and she was chosen by Queen Latifah to design her dress for the 2000 Oscars.

Despite her many contacts in the entertainment world, Saun went mostly unnoticed until she was chosen to participate on the reality show, which began to be shown in the United States on December 1, 2004. In the show, Saun demonstrated a preference towards wearing green dresses, but she also describes her designs as rock-star like.

Saun had an ongoing feud with fellow show participant, Middleburg, Virginia's Wendy Pepper. The two contestants never got along well, despite Saun's having given Wendy a makeover before an elimination round in an early episode. It shall be mentioned, however, that other participants also showed dislike towards Wendy.

She got to meet model Heidi Klum as part of the show.

Although she impressed the show's judges, San did not win, coming in second place to Jay McCarrol. Her second place, however, guaranteed her a spot in the prestigious 2005 New York Fashion Week show.
