Junior M.A.F.I.A.
Junior Mafia was a hip hop crew put together by the East Coast rapper Notorious B.I.G. in the early 1990s. Due mostly to Biggie's input, they grabbed instant attention with two hit singles, "Get Money" and "Player's Anthem." Their debut album, Conspiracy (Undeas/Big Beat), was released in 1995 and was certified gold. Hailing from Bedford-Stuyvesant, NYC, the group was made up of four separate acts: the 6s (Little Caesar, Chico, and Nino Brown), the Snakes (cousins Larceny and Trife), MC Klepto, and 47 MC Little Kim. Their rhymes mostly adressed guns, money, and sex. The single "Get Money" helped one member of the group, Lil Kim, known as "the lieutenant" of the Junior M.A.F.I.A. to start her own solo career.
