Julio Franco
Julio César Robles Franco (born August 23, 1958 in Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic) is a Major League Baseball player with the Atlanta Braves. Franco, who won the American League batting title in 1991 as a member of the Texas Rangers, is the all-time leader in hits among players born in the Dominican Republic.

At age 47, he is currently the oldest baseball player in the major leagues and is the only active player left who was born in the 1950's. He is the oldest player ever to hit a grand slam, as well as the oldest ever to hit a pinch-hit home run, two home runs in one game and to steal two bases in a game. Franco made his debut on April 23, 1982 as a shortstop for the Philadelphia Phillies. He bats and throws right-handed.
