Since 2000, she has also been the eviction-night host on the American version of Big Brother. During the first season (2000), Chen was widely ridiculed in the media for her heavily scripted wooden delivery, interaction with the studio audience and interviews on the live programs. Since then, she has grown into her dual roles. Because of her stilted delivery on the program, including the oft-spoken catch phrase "But first...", she has been given the nickname "Chenbot" by reviewers and fans of the show.
