Joyce Quin
The Right Honourable Joyce Gwendolen Quin (November 26, 1944) is a Labour Party politician in the United Kingdom.

Quin was educated at Newcastle University and the London School of Economics. She worked as a French language lecturer and tutor at Bath University and Durham University.

She served as Member of the European Parliament for Tyne and Wear from 1979 to 1989, and entered the House of Commons in the 1987 election. She was member of Parliament for Gateshead East and Washington West from 1997 to 2005, when she steppped down and was replaced by Sharon Hodgson. She has returned to academia and intends to campaign for regional devolution for North East England.
