Joseph Anthony
Joseph Anthony (May 24, 1912– January 20, 1993) was an American playwright and director from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He first appeared on Broadway in New York City as an actor in 1937. He authored several plays and sometimes performed in minor roles but is best known as a director. Besides the New York stage, he did some work in films and television drama.

Anthony was nominated for a Tony Award for best director five times but never won. He died in 1993 in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
