Fritz Kreisler once said: "A world-renowned violinist is born every 100 years, a Hassid every 200 years." He received an honorary diploma in the 1935 Wieniawski Competition in Warsaw, but his career was tragically cut short when he was diagnosed with acute schizophrenia later in the 1940s. He died prematurely in 1950 at the age of 26, leaving only 9 precious recordings.
