Jordi came to Manchester United from FC Barcelona of Spain in 1996. Unusually he wore his first name (Jordi) on his shirt, to try to remove himself from his father's shadow. While at United, he helped the club three league titles (1997, 1999, and 2000), one F.A. Cup in 1999 and one UEFA Champions League in 1999. Because of injury, he never fulfilled his potential at the club. While at United, he scored eight goals. After his United career, Jordi would lead Deportivo Alaves to the 2001 UEFA Cup final.
