Johnson City, New York
Johnson City is a village located in Broome County, New York, USA. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 15,535. The village is named after George Johnson, a shoe manufacturer.
History
The major development of Johnson City occurred after 1888, when the predecessor to the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company was formed. The village was incorporated in 1892.
