Johnny English

Johnny English (2003) is a comic movie parodying the James Bond secret agent genre, starring Rowan Atkinson as the incompetent British spy of the title, with John Malkovich, Natalie Imbruglia and Ben Miller, and featuring a unique car chase.

Plot

Johnny English is a clumsy spy, who mucks everything up; Sauvage is an evil Frenchmen out to become the British King.

English reports the plan to MI7 who don't believe what he has to say. Sauvage manages to steal the Crown Jewels, and makes a duplicate of the Archbishop of Canterbury, to proclaim him as the king, but his plans are foiled. After spoiling Sauvage's first plan, English is thrown out of MI7 for bad behaviour, for still no one is ready to believe him.

English finally reaches Sauvage's Castle in France and realises Sauvage's plan to make England a prison. In another attempt at foiling Sauvage's plans, this time at Westminster Abbey, English is the one who is crowned King. Abdicating after one day in favour of Queen Elizabeth II English exchanges the throne for a knighthood.
